From father to son, Dutch Construction began in Calgary in 1956 when Dick Bouwsema began building houses in that city. Five years after his sons Pete and Bill took over the company in 1988, they moved Dutch Construction to the Okanagan, continuing to create the top quality homes for which they had now become well-known and respected.
While Pete moved back to Calgary in 2002, Bill has continued the family practice of building beautiful homes in the Kelowna area, involving himself in every detail of construction. It is evident this Dutch Construction custom of ‘hands on’ focus is truly a family tradition, as Dick is often seen at job sites, proudly watching over his son’s attention to detail.
